LIP Nautic 671855 Nautic-Ski Watch

The LIP Nautic-Ski is claimed to be the first French watch to be water-resistant to 200 m. It was fist produced in the spring of 1967 to mark the brand's centenary and showcased at the 1968 Grenoble Olympic Games. The watch has a distinctive internal rotating bezel and thick, highly curved crystal. Its excellent water resistance comes from its so-called ‘compressor’ case which tightens nore and more as the water pressure increases. No wonder the watch was worn by Captain Cousteau’s team. The Nautic name of the watch comes from its remarkable water-resistance and the word ‘Ski’ stems for the passion for alpine skiing of Fred Lip and his daughter, Muriel, who was a member of the French women's alpine ski team from 1950 to 1956.

This LIP watch has a case made of titanium with a diameter of 41 mm and is fitted with a rubber band. Inside the case lies a Miyota movement and the watch features a Single anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

The watch is 20 ATM. This means the watch is suitable for diving. The watch comes with 2 Year Warranty.
