This Seiko Prospex diver’s watch - created in collaboration with PADI – the Professional Association of Diving instructors – meets the brief. Its design takes its inspiration from the very first Seiko diving from 1965 – the ‘62MAS’. The emerald green dial with its gradient is inspired by the shimmering light and rippling surface as seen from beneath the water's surface, reflecting a deep love for our beautiful oceans. And because we want to keep our oceans beautiful, the strap is made from nylon recycled from discarded fishing nets. It is intricately woven using the traditional Japanese technique of Seichu, often used in kimono belts (obi). The newly designed clasp can be adjusted in six steps of approximately 2.5 mm each, for a total range of approximately 15 mm ensuring comfortable wear, even as your wrist changes size while diving. The in-house 6R55 automatic calibre is accurate to -15/+25 seconds per day, with a three day power reserve and the watch is water resistant up to 30 ATM. This Seiko watch has a case made of stainless steel with a diameter of 40 mm and is fitted with a stainless steel band. Inside the case lies a Seiko movement and the watch features a Sapphire crystal.
