The Ciga Design U Series Blue Planet Automatic U031-TU04-W6U is a truly unique watch that combines extraordinary design with advanced technology. The Blue Planet Collection is renowned for its unique interpretation of time and environmental symbolism. This collection has received critical acclaim, notably winning the Challenge Watch Prize at the 2021 (GPHG). The relief watch dial mimics the earth’s rotation and stands for taking care of our blue planet. The watch is powered by a self-designed automatic movement which was developed in collaboration with Seagull. This movement employs a unique gear ratio, allowing the hour hand, which is the globe itself, to rotate 30° whereas the minute hand rotates 390°. This non-synchronous trailing feature, inspired by ancient sundials, redefines time-telling by combining a static 12-hour scale with a rotating minute one. The mariner’s symbol – or compass rose – acts as a single pointer while the minute dial rotates with the passing time. This truy extraordinary watch comes in a gorgeous presentation book which besides the watch contains the matching blue strap and all documentation.

This CIGA Design watch has a case made of titanium with a diameter of 46 mm and is fitted with a rubber band. Inside the case lies a Seagull movement and the watch features a Sapphire crystal.
