The name "Kaenos" of this new watch in the Meistersinger universe is derived from the Greek word "kainos," meaning "new" or "fresh," and also refers to the Cenozoic era—an era of renewal in the development of planet Earth. The watch's dial consists of two layers, with the numerals and hour markers punched out to reveal the layer beneath, which is coated with luminous material. Below that, there's another layer consisting of an open date disk, the date of which can be read below the 12 o'clock position. This double-layered structure creates a three-dimensional effect while simultaneously providing high clarity and excellent readability, both in sunny weather and at night. The fine sunray finish creates a fascinating interplay of colors depending on the light. The newly designed, distinct pencil-shaped hand is also coated with luminous material, further enhancing its readability. The watch is powered by a Swiss Sellita SW200 movement—with a 38-hour power reserve—that can be admired through the transparent glass caseback. This outstanding design earned Meistersinger the prestigious iF Design Award 2025 for the Kaenos.
